Preparing for a Nude Shoot

What to wear to the session...
Wear loose clothing and no underwear, you don't want marks of any kind on the body.
Learn to pose in a different way...
Think differently about your posing and prepare by spending some time practicing. Know what poses flatter your physique. Be mindful of poses that cause folds in your flesh and pay attention to how the light hits your body.
Tanning...
It's great if a model can arrive with a nice all-over tan. However, don't try to rush it. Models that aren't used to tanning SHOULD NOT tan the day before and then show up at the shoot with burned areas that normally do not see the light of day. It is important, though, NOT to have a farmer's or boardshort tan when doing physique modeling.
Grooming...
DO NOT shave or even heavily trim your body hair. For male physique modeling, hair is extremely desired under the arms, on the legs and especially in the pubic region. And there is nothing sexier than a treasure trail leading down from the navel. If you need to shave you chest, that is fine but make sure to do this well in advance and not cause any red marks.
Facial hair...
Some male models look great with a little facial stubble. If you're one of those, then don't shave a day or two before the shoot. However, bring your shaving equipment so a clean-shaven look can also be captured.
Just before the shoot...
A quick warm up exercise -- e.g. push ups -- before the shoot can make muscles stand out and send blood pumping throughout the body and generate a healthy look.
What concepts will be used...
There will be both fine-art and glamour type of posing. Fine-art poses are more about contorting your body, showing muscle definition, shapes, lines, etc. Glamour is about you looking like a hunky dude usually just standing/lounging around in various states of undress.Very different poses...but each effective in their own way, although some young guys are more apt to be more proficient at one than the other.
Calling all sportsmen...
If you enjoy a particular sport and have an outfit for it, bring it along. Be sure to also bring some jeans, shorts, muscle shirts and a few items you think you can rock while modeling. There will be plenty of designer underwear at the shoot for you to model in...
A VideoProfile...
Combines video segments of behind-the-scenes footage with still photos and interviews with the model. Models are shot dressed-up, in casual clothes, playing various sports, in designer underwear and artistically nude.
Final preparation...
Drink plenty of water the night before and morning of the shoot to keep your skin looking fresh, and rest well, get lots of sleep! And bring your confidence. It's much easier for a model and photographer to get great results when the model brings his a-game to the session, and even offers suggestions for concepts and poses.
Distribution channels for the images...
There is no need to worry about the images being spread across the internet. In fact, the model can control which type of images can be released on the web. Images will be used in the eventual VideoProfile, sold as fine-art prints, perhaps used in a calendar or appear in a coffee-table photography book.
Relax! Go into the shoot with a can-do attitude, be professional, and rock it out. Be confident in yourself and everything will be just fine. This is a relaxed environment with a single photographer who is waiting to collaborate with the model on every aspect of the shoot.
